Here is how to share a private report in salesforce

  1. First click on the "New Folder" button in the top right corner of the Reports page
  2. Give a name to your folder
  3. Click the "Save" button to create the new folder
  4. Click on "All Reports" in the left sidebar under REPORTS section
  5. Search for the private report you want to share
  6. Click the dropdown arrow in the actions menu
  7. Select "Move" from the dropdown menu
  8. Select the folder you created earlier and move your report
  9. Click the "Select Folder" button to confirm the move
  10. Click on "All Folders" in the left sidebar under FOLDERS section
  11. Locate the folder you just created
  12. Click the dropdown arrow next to the folder
  13. Select "Share" from the dropdown menu
  14. Choose who can access the report either "Users" or "Public Groups"
  15. Add the user/group you want to share the private report with
  16. Finally, click on "Done" to share your folder containing the report
