First navigate to the base that contains your form and open the "Forms" tab
In the forms list, select the form you want to edit
In the form editor, click the field for which you want to set a default value
In the settings panel on the right, locate the "Default value" option
Next click the "Add default value" button
Click on the default value dropdown menu that appears
Then select the value you want to appear by default from the dropdown menu
The field will now display this value automatically when the form is opened
