How it works
1. First locate and hover over the message you want to reply to in any Channel or direct message
2. Next click the reply icon in the message toolbar
3. Then in the thread panel, type your response in the reply field
4. Use rich text formatting, add attachments or include mentions and more additional options as needed
5. Finally click the "Send" button to submit the reply message
6. Your reply will now be grouped under the original message as a thread
