Here is how to merge a content tag in zendesk guide admin

  1. First in Guide admin, click on the "Arrange content" icon in the left sidebar
  2. Then click on "Manage content tags" in the left navigation menu
  3. Locate the tag you want to merge and click on the options menu (three dots) next to it
  4. Select "Merge" from the dropdown menu that appears
  5. In the modal window, click on the dropdown field under "Merge with this content tag"
  6. Select the target tag you want to merge into from the merge options dropdown
  7. Finally, click the "Merge content tag" button to confirm the action
  8. Your content tag has been successfully merged, and all articles associated with the old tag will now use the new tag
