How to create an OAuth client in Zendesk

Here is how to create an oauth client in zendesk

  1. First in Admin Center, click on "Apps and integrations" in the left sidebar
  2. Then click on "Zendesk API" under the APIs section
  3. Next click on "OAuth Clients" tab in the main content area
  4. Click on "Add OAuth client" button in the top right
  5. Enter name displayed when users grant access
  6. Type a brief info about the app in the Description field
  7. Enter the company name in the Company field
  8. The unique identifier will be auto-filled based on the client name
  9. In the Client kind options, choose Public or Confidential
  10. Enter absolute URLs for authorization callbacks, in the Redirect URLs field
  11. Then, once done click the "Save" button at the bottom of the form
  12. Click "OK" in the secret storage confirmation dialog to confirm the creation
  13. Your OAuth client has been successfully created
  14. Next, scroll down and find the "Secret" section
  15. Click the "Copy" button next to the secret token
  16. Finally, cick the "Save" button to complete the OAuth client setup
