How to turn off snapping in Canva?

Create your own interactive guide with Guideflow

How it works

Here is a simple guide on how to turn off snapping in Canva: 1. Click on the element (image, text, shape, etc.) that you want to adjust without it snapping to a grid or other elements 2. Once the element is selected, you can press the CTRL key while dragging an item. It will turn the snap off 3. You should now be able to freely move and adjust the selected element without it snapping to any grid or other objects 4. Just make sure you place the item down before releasing the CTRL key.

Why should you use this feature?

Canva is a versatile design platform that empowers creativity with ease.

Turning off snapping in Canva allows for precise placement of design elements. This feature gives you more control over your layout, enabling a seamless design process.

Without snapping, you can freely move objects without them automatically aligning to nearby elements.

This flexibility is particularly useful when fine-tuning designs, ensuring every detail aligns with your unique creative vision.
