How to create a task from a direct message in ClickUp

How it works

First under Direct Messages, select the conversation containing the message you want to convert
Next hover over the specific message you want to turn into a task
Click on the "Create or Assign" button in the message options menu that appears
From the dropdown menu, select “Create task with AI” to use AI, or “Create task manually” to build the task yourself
In the task creation modal, enter the task name in the name field
Next add any additional details such as status, assignees, priority, and due date
Finally click the "Create Task" button to finalize the task creation
Task successfully created. Now click the "Post Task" button in the confirmation dialog to share it in Thread if needed
