Here is how to update a list template in clickup

  1. First apply a List template to an existing or new List
  2. Make changes to tasks, views, and Automations as needed
  3. Once done, click the "More options" menu next the list in the left sidebar
  4. Select "Templates" option from the dropdown menu
  5. Click on "Update existing Template" option in the submenu
  6. In the template selection dialog, select the existing template you want to update
  7. Click the "Next" button to continue
  8. You can rename the template if needed
  9. Finally click the "Save Template" button to complete the process
