  1. First, click on your account name in the lower-left corner
  2. Next click on the "Settings" option in the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Account" tab in the settings navigation menu
  4. Click on "API keys" in the left settings menu
  5. Then on the API Keys page, you will see your existing keys listed (Public API Key and Private API Keys)
  6. Scroll down to the Private API Keys and click the "Create Private API Key" button
  7. Next enter a name for your new key in the API Key Name field
  8. In the Access Level section, choose one of the following: Read-Only, Full Access, or Custom
  9. If you select Custom, check the specific API scopes you want the key to have access to (like Campaigns, Profiles, Lists, Events, etc.)
  10. Finall click the "Create" button to generate the API key
  11. The API key has been successfully created with the selected permissions
  12. Now make sure to copy and save the key in a secure place, as you won’t be able to view it again later
