Here is how to change the indexing language in confluence

  1. First click on the gear icon in the top right header
  2. Find "Settings" in the Confluence administration menu
  3. Next click on "Configuration"
  4. After that, select "General configuration" in the submenu
  5. Scroll down to the "Internationalization" section
  6. Then click on the "Indexing language" dropdown menu
  7. Next choose a new indexing language from the dropdown list
  8. Once done, click on the "Save indexing language changes" button
  9. Finally click on the "Change language" button in the confirmation dialog
