How it works
1. First find the thread you want to unfollow and click on it to open the full thread view
2. Next hover over the message in the thread
3. Then click on the "More actions" button (three dots) in the message options toolbar
4. Finally select "Turn off notifications for replies" from the dropdown menu
5. Now you will no longer receive notifications for replies in that thread
