Here is how to set a custom task id prefix and starting index in clickup

  1. First open App Center, find "Custom Task IDs" and enable it if you haven’t already
  2. Next click on the "Enable in" dropdown menu
  3. In the Spaces dropdown menu, select the space where you want to configure Custom Task IDs
  4. Then in the Custom Prefix field of the Task ID customization modal, enter your prefix (e.g., CLK) this will always be in all caps
  5. Next set the starting index which must be a number greater than 0
  6. Enable the "Show Task ID in the Task view" option by checking the checkbox
  7. Finally, click the "Create" button to apply the Custom Task ID format
