Here is how to assign scopes to an api key in klaviyo

  1. First, click on your account name in the lower-left corner
  2. Next click on the "Settings" option in the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Account" tab in the settings navigation menu
  4. Click on "API keys" in the left settings menu
  5. Then on the API Keys page, you will see your existing keys listed (Public API Key and Private API Keys)
  6. Scroll down to the Private API Keys and click the "Create Private API Key" button
  7. Next enter a name for your key in the API Key Name field
  8. In the Access Level section, select the "Custom key" option
  9. In the right side you can see the list of available API scopes (such as Campaigns, Profiles, Lists, Events, Metrics, Flows, etc)
  10. Then select the level of access (Read or Full) for each scope you want this API key to include
  11. Finally click the "Create" button to generate the API key
  12. The custom access API key has been successfully created with the assigned scopes
  13. Now make sure to copy and save the key in a secure place, as you won’t be able to view it again later
