Here is how to enable link previews in slack
- First click on the profile icon in the bottom left corner of the sidebar
- Then click on "Preferences" option in the profile menu
- Next click on "Messages & media" option in the left sidebar of the Preferences dialog
- Then scroll down the page to "Infinite media & links"
- Next click on the checkbox for "Show images and files uploaded to Slack"
- Then click on the checkbox for "Show images and files from linked websites" to enable it
- Next click on the checkbox for "Show text previews of linked websites" to enable it
- Finally click on the close button in the top right corner of the Preferences dialog
