Netwrix chooses Guideflow to showcase its desktop applications and give prospects a hands-on feel before they talk to sales

About Netwrix
Netwrix is a cybersecurity company that helps organizations secure their data and Identities and safeguard AI. Netwrix offerings span Web-based SaaS applications to on-prem server-based applications and even programs that run on individual endpoints. More than 13,000 organizations in over 100 countries rely on it.
Inside Netwrix, the Product Marketing team owns how that broad portfolio is explained to the market. Hano Grimm works on that team as a Product Marketing Manager focused on Privileged Access Management. The team of seven product marketers splits the Netwrix portfolio between them and handles messaging, release cycles, community updates, webinars and customer communication. It also owns Netwrix's in-browser demos, which the sales and marketing teams use to show the software in action.
Challenge
For nearly four years, Netwrix ran its in-browser demos on another demo platform. Over that time, 25 live demos sat on the Netwrix website, supporting sales and nurturing across the product portfolio. The team's goal was simple: keep those demos accurate, keep adding new ones, and show prospects exactly how Netwrix works. For a security vendor, seeing the product in action is critical, and static screenshots or long video walkthroughs rarely do the job.
The problem was that much of Netwrix's software doesn't live only in the browser. Key workflows trigger desktop windows, pop-up applications and RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) sessions, but the previous tool could only capture what happened inside the browser. To show those steps, the team had to screen-record the workflow, pause at the right moment and grab a frame, losing quality and resolution along the way. Every demo depended on sales engineers and product managers for access and screenshots, so each one took a long time to build.
"It's easy to capture the browser, but anything outside the browser is much harder. Capturing these applications and pop-ups was the major headache for us."
Netwrix needed a demo platform that could capture desktop applications as easily as browser tabs, without leaning on engineers for every screenshot. With the old subscription nearing its renewal date, it was a good time to evaluate alternatives and switch to a more suitable provider without taking its published demos offline.
Solution
A colleague who had used Guideflow before suggested it to the team, and Hano, who had managed the previous platform for most of its lifecycle, took on the evaluation. The goal was to find one platform that could capture every part of the Netwrix product, browser or desktop, and move the existing demo library over before the old subscription renewed.
Moving from screen-recording workarounds to native desktop capture
Hano tested Guideflow on his own product area, where pop-up windows had always been the hardest part to show. Using Guideflow's Desktop App, he captured those windows cleanly, with no screen recordings and no frame grabs. That single test settled the decision, and leadership signed off on his recommendation.
"The main reason we chose Guideflow was the desktop application you can record with. Especially with my product and the pop-ups I get, it captured them fine. That really solidified the decision."
Using AI to automatically draft text content based on the captured UI
Once a step is captured, Guideflow writes the step text automatically, describing the action that was just recorded. The team can then edit the wording and language to match Netwrix's messaging. Other tools Netwrix had tried offered something similar, but the results never felt reliable enough to use.
"After you capture a step, it gives you the text for the function you just took the screenshot of. It's pretty good at doing that, and you can edit it and change the language."
Benefits
25 live interactive demos migrated, entirely by Guideflow
As part of the agreement, the Guideflow team converted all 25 of Netwrix's live interactive demos from the previous provider. Netwrix only shared the demo information, and no one on its team had to rebuild a single demo. Every demo was back on the website before the old subscription renewed, so sales and nurturing never lost access to the demos they rely on.
"The Guideflow team converted all of those existing demos in a really speedy manner, because we were under a time crunch. It was a really seamless transition for the product marketing team's workflow."
That mattered beyond the deadline itself. With a heavy backlog of other priorities, the team could finish major projects first and scale up demo work on its own schedule.
"It was so important to get those converted demos up on the website. That gives us some breathing room to finish the major tasks we're all working on."
New demos built in hours, without asking for help
Guideflow's browser-based interface means new team members can get started without a long learning curve. Within the first month, a colleague from another team built two urgently needed demos on her own in a couple of hours, without asking anyone for help. Building a demo no longer has to wait on sales engineers or product managers.
"My colleague already created two on her own and hasn't even asked for help. They needed them quite urgently, and she was able to knock them out in a couple of hours."
One platform for every Netwrix demo
For the first time, Netwrix can show its full product in a single interactive demo, including the desktop windows and sessions that used to be left out or patched together from screen recordings. Prospects get a complete, hands-on view of how the software works, and the team expects to expand its use of Guideflow significantly in the coming quarters.
"I think it covers nearly every single need a person will have to create these in-browser demos."
Why Guideflow
Netwrix needed a demo platform that could capture its whole product, not just the parts that run in a browser. Guideflow was the one that could.
Guideflow's Desktop App captured the pop-ups, desktop windows and sessions that other tools couldn't, while automatically drafted step text made building demos faster and more polished. The interface is fully browser-based and easy to pick up, so the team can own demo creation without depending on sales engineers or product managers. And when it was time to switch, the Guideflow team handled the migration of every live demo.
Guideflow didn't just replace the old platform, it closed the gap that had shaped Netwrix's demos for years: 25 demos migrated on time, and every part of the product finally in view.
