Here is how to rename a github organization

  1. First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
  2. Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization you want to rename
  4. Then click on the "General" section in the left sidebar
  5. Scroll down to the "Danger zone" section at the bottom of the settings page
  6. Next click on the "Rename organization" button 
  7. Then enter the new organization name in the text input field of the rename dialog
  8. Finally click on the "Change organization's name" button to confirm the rename
  9. Your GitHub organization has been successfully renamed
