How to rename a GitHub organization
Here is how to rename a github organization
- First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
- Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
- Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization you want to rename
- Then click on the "General" section in the left sidebar
- Scroll down to the "Danger zone" section at the bottom of the settings page
- Next click on the "Rename organization" button
- Then enter the new organization name in the text input field of the rename dialog
- Finally click on the "Change organization's name" button to confirm the rename
- Your GitHub organization has been successfully renamed
