Here is how to change your github profile privacy settings

First click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the header
Next click on "Settings" option in the dropdown menu
In the left sidebar navigation, click on "Public profile" section
Scroll down to the "Contributions & activity" section on the page
Then uncheck the "Make profile private and hide activity" checkbox to make your profile public and show your activity
To hide your contributions and activity, check the "Make profile private and hide activity" checkbox
Finally click on the "Update preferences" button to save the changes
