How to archive a GitHub organization
Here is how to archive a github organization
- First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
- Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
- Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization you want to archive
- Then click on "General" option in the left sidebar
- Scroll down to the "Danger zone" section at the bottom of the settings page
- Next click on "Archive this organization" button
- Type the organization name in the confirmation text field in the modal dialog
- Finally click on "I understand the consequences, archive this organization" button to confirm
