How to copy a project as a template in your GitHub organization
Here is how to copy a project as a template in your github organization
- First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
- Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
- Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization
- Click on "Projects" tab in the organization navigation menu
- Find the project you want to copy
- Click on the options menu button next to it
- Then click on "Copy as template" option from the dropdown menu
- Optionally, if you want all draft issues to be copied with the project, select "Draft issues will be copied if selected"
- Next click on "Select an owner" dropdown to choose the organization owner and enter the new template name in the text field
- Finally click on "Copy as template" button to create the template
