Here is how to cancel an expired invitation in your github organization

  1. First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
  2. Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization
  4. Click on "People" tab 
  5. Under "Organization permissions", click "Invitations" or "Failed invitations"
  6. Then locate the expired invitation you want to cancel
  7. Click on the three dots icon next to the invitation
  8. Next click on "Cancel invitation" in the dropdown menu
  9. Finally click on the "Cancel invitation" button in the confirmation dialog
