Here is how to add recommended project templates in your github organization

  1. First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
  2. Next select "Organizations" from the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization
  4. In the left sidebar, click on "Planning" under the Code, planning, and automation section
  5. Click on "Projects" in the submenu
  6. After that, click on the "Add recommended templates" button
  7. In the list of templates owned by your organization, select up to six templates that you want to recommend to your members
  8. Finally, click on the "Save" button to apply the changes
