Here is how to create a new project template in your github organization

  1. First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
  2. Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization
  4. Click on "Projects" tab in the navigation menu
  5. Click on "Templates" option in the left sidebar
  6. Then click on "New template" button in the main content area
  7. Select which type of template you want to use, click Table, Roadmap, or Board
  8. Customize your template by adding items, automation, and fields as needed
  9. Next click on the "Edit project name" next to the project name
  10. Type a name for the project template
  11. Then click on "Save changes" button at the bottom of the settings panel
  12. Next click on the "Use this template" button in the top right corner
  13. Then select an owner from the dropdown and enter the project name
  14. Finally click on the "Use template" button to confirm
