How to create a new project template in your GitHub organization
Here is how to create a new project template in your github organization
- First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
- Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
- Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization
- Click on "Projects" tab in the navigation menu
- Click on "Templates" option in the left sidebar
- Then click on "New template" button in the main content area
- Select which type of template you want to use, click Table, Roadmap, or Board
- Customize your template by adding items, automation, and fields as needed
- Next click on the "Edit project name" next to the project name
- Type a name for the project template
- Then click on "Save changes" button at the bottom of the settings panel
- Next click on the "Use this template" button in the top right corner
- Then select an owner from the dropdown and enter the project name
- Finally click on the "Use template" button to confirm
