How to create a new issue type in your GitHub organization
Here is how to create a new issue type in your github organization
- First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
- Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
- Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization you want to manage
- Click on the "Planning" in the left sidebar under "Code, planning, and automation" section
- After that, click on "Issue types" in the Planning submenu
- Then click on the "New type" button in the main content area
- Enter the name of the new issue type in the "Type name" field
- Optionally, type a description in the "Description" field
- Under Color, select the color you want for the issue type
- Finally click on the "Create" button to create the new issue type
