Here is how to add an issue type in your github organization

  1. First click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header
  2. Next click on "Organizations" in the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Settings" button next to the organization you want to manage
  4. Click on the "Planning" in the left sidebar under "Code, planning, and automation" section
  5. After that, click on "Issue types" in the Planning submenu
  6. Then click on the "New type" button in the main content area
  7. Enter the name of the new issue type in the "Type name" field
  8. Optionally, type a description in the "Description" field
  9. Under Color, select the color you want for the issue type
  10. Finally click on the "Create" button to create the new issue type
